This is the mining town I had talked about. Charles and I decided to go there Saturday. It was so amazing. The castle was a refining place for the mining but has been turning into a hotel now. You can stay there for $120 a night. I hope we have the time to do that someday.

We got to go 70 mts. down in a silver mine. The mine goes another 700 mts. But they have covered this entrance up. There is now another entrance that they use to continue working on this mine. The miners would carry the stuff out on there backs working 14 hours a day. At one point it was the riches silver mine in the world.

We also visited a museum about the Spanish Inquisition where they tortured prisoners. It had some mummies. I thought some of our kids would have nightmares but they all slept through the night. I will post two slide shows covering the two main subjects of the town.
