We watched the First Presidency's Christmas Devotional last night. It was so beautiful and the music inspiring. At the end of the closing prayer I said to the kids "Wasn't that so wonderful?" With no reply I looked over and realized why I was able to watch the entire program without a problem. What a wonderful way to start the Christmas Season. My little angels.Monday, December 7, 2009

Christmas Time Already?
The kids had a great time putting together this years gingerbread house. They are so excited to go to Utah. Daddy is traveling a lot and that confuses Zachary. He thinks dad went to Utah without him so we made a paper chain count down for Utah. Every morning he tears off a link so he knows when its time for the plane to Utah. Zachary can't wait to see grandparents, snow, and the hotel. We will see most of you in less than two weeks.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Bowling Anyone?
We had a fun Family Bowling Time. Everyone did very well. Zachary would NOT let us help him. A couple people could bowl in the time it took his ball to roll down the lane.
After bowling we went to San Miguel. These are some of the alters they put together for their "Day of the Dead" which they celebrate November 1st and 2nd. We had trick-o-treaters from October 30th to November 2nd.

Halloween 2009
Wow, another Halloween in Mexico. This year they had the costume parades at school then in the evening our club had a party for the kids. At the party we had a magician, piñata, and the best part, a chocolate fountain. They had lots of fun. Later after the party Holly dumped dry ice into her pool. That was really interesting to watch. It was a great Halloween.

Trolley Ride with INCQ
I took Marissa and Rachel with me on a trolley tour with the club. It was interesting to hear Thomas' stories and history of Queretaro. We have lots of friends in the group and enjoyed the outing.

Bull Fight
Well, we have gone to a bull fight in a town just 15 minutes away from us. It was very interesting and we even had a guy at the fight explain many points of it. We had fun with our friends. When done right it is very artistic.

First Time at Mexico Temple
This is Marissa's first time going to a Temple to do baptisms for the dead. Charles took her and Tonya to the Mexico City Temple. Charles was able to participate in the baptisms and confirmations for Marissa. What a special memory they have together. They had lunch in the cafeteria on the church grounds and Marissa will tell you the best part was the cake.

Back to School
The first day of school for Joshua, Rachel, and Emmalee was on Monday, Zachary's birthday. Zachary started two days later on Wednesday and Marissa started on Thursday. It was wonderful to have them all in school. I found myself alone in the car on Thursday after dropping them off with the weird feeling like I had forgotten something. The kids love their teachers and have lots of friends. Zachary's teacher is Miss Lupita. We love listening to him when he says her name. All the kids are doing very well with the Spanish language. Marissa practiced all week on her locker combination and had no problem with it her first day of school. She enjoyed putting up pictures and decorations.

Happy 11th Birthday Rachel!
Rachel's birthday came and I told her she couldn't have one this year. I decided my kids would no longer get older so all birthdays are now canceled. But I was over ruled. We had a lot of fun watching "Back to the Future" as a family. Happy Birthday Rachel!!!
