Talent Show

The Stake had a super Saturday for the youth. In the evening they had a talent show followed by a dance. One of the young women who could not be there that night taught the girls a Hawaiian dance. They made their own skirts, pompoms, and grass anklets. The DJ started the music too soon so at the end of the performances they were asked to do it one more time. The girl 3rd from the left won 2nd place in the dance contest. They did a wonderful job and had lots of fun.

Trolley Ride with INCQ

I took Marissa and Rachel with me on a trolley tour with the club. It was interesting to hear Thomas' stories and history of Queretaro. We have lots of friends in the group and enjoyed the outing.

First Time at Mexico Temple

This is Marissa's first time going to a Temple to do baptisms for the dead. Charles took her and Tonya to the Mexico City Temple. Charles was able to participate in the baptisms and confirmations for Marissa. What a special memory they have together. They had lunch in the cafeteria on the church grounds and Marissa will tell you the best part was the cake.

Marissa and Emmalee Birthday Party

Because we would be flying to Utah on Emmalee's birthday we decided to have the party before we left so we had them open their presents and have cake. So much fun! Happy Birthday Emmalee, Dec. 19 and Marissa, Dec. 28. They are so old now.

Wellsville Mile

All the Elementaries in the south end of the valley get together for the Wellsville Mile. They break the 4 and 5 grades into 12 groups and run a mile, which is twice around the school on the roads. They have the sheriffs out blocking off the roads for the runners.

MARISSA AT THE LINE, READY TO RUN!!
Marissa ran the mile in 9.18 minutes. Marissa ran in the 1st heat of the 5th grade girls. Rachel ran the mile in 9.43 minutes. Rachel ran in the 2nd heat of the 4th grade girls. The weather was perfect for them. They did and awesome job and had a fun party after.
