Emmalee

This is a video I took of Emmalee last fall around September. I have tried to get it onto the blog sense then but it never worked until today. I recorded her because her eyes are green or I thought they were. But with her uniform on they looked very blue. I asked her about the eyes and she was all silly, so I got the camera and she preformed just perfectly. I love my Emmie.

Short Park Video

This is a very short video of the kids at the park.

This is our last trip to the beach.

At the Park

We were invited by the Gama Family to have lunch at a park. This is our favorite park now. There are many toys, basketball courts, trees for shade and it is by trains that occasionally pass.
Zachary was even trying to pump on the swing. They are growing up too fast.

Edith taught me to make Tinga. OH SO GOOD! We ate nearly all of it. Of course Charles and I finished it off the next day. You take a crisp tostada and layer beans, tinga, crema, lettuce, avocado, and cheese. Yum. We also had a spaghetti with a swiss chard sauce. That was good too. I can't wait to make this food for you.

This is a slide. There are rocks and metal bars you can use to climb up the backside of the slide. They had so much fun on this that they spent most of the time just on this slide rather than the other things at the park.
It was a perfect beautiful day. And the food was awesome.

Our Last Days in Utah

Salt Lake City

On Saturday, December 27 we took Marissa, Rachel, Joshua, and McKayla (cousin) to Salt Lake City to see a concert, Savor of the World at the Conference Center. We drove to Ogden and got on the Front Runner Train. It was fun to hang out and visit, not having to deal with traffic. Then we hopped onto trax to go to Temple Square. The concert is wonderful and we think everyone should go at least once to experience it. Afterwards we walked around listening to other concerts and seeing the lights. We ate dinner at Rodizio Grill, soooo good. Then heading home we rode on trax and front runner. It was a fun Saturday.

Christmas Morning

We had Santa leave the presents at Charles' parents home. Surprisingly the kids slept in, but when they awoke we couldn't hurry fast enough for them. Charles received a book with two poems about dads and pictures of him, the kids, and family. I think I succeeded in getting a gift that surprised him and he liked. Merry Christmas!

Home For The Holidays

Our first stop in Utah was to Gaylene's home for haircuts. We told her it needed to last a year. Only Charles has had a haircut sense the time we left Utah in June.

We were very busy going to doctor appointments and shopping that we ended up with little time to visit everyone. We spent Christmas eve at Grandma and Grandpa Leishman's home with our cousins, uncles, and aunts. After eating pizza and pumpkin pie we opened our gifts and got to visit.

Marissa and Emmalee Birthday Party

Because we would be flying to Utah on Emmalee's birthday we decided to have the party before we left so we had them open their presents and have cake. So much fun! Happy Birthday Emmalee, Dec. 19 and Marissa, Dec. 28. They are so old now.

Time to Update

I finally found time to start adding to the blog again. When I got the suitcases out to start loading for us to visit family in Utah, Zachary crawled in and told us to put his seat belt on so he could go with daddy. The kids were excited and then received a surprised that instead of leaving on Sunday, we would be leaving two days earlier. The kids loved packing for our trip and I had no problems getting them ready.
