All the Elementaries in the south end of the valley get together for the Wellsville Mile. They break the 4 and 5 grades into 12 groups and run a mile, which is twice around the school on the roads. They have the sheriffs out blocking off the roads for the runners.

This pyramid is in our area. When others came to the areas with the pyramids, they covered the pyramid with dirt and built their church on top. Lately the Mexican people have began uncovering the pyramids and have found many artifacts. This is about 10 to 15 minutes from our home. The Temple of the Sun is 3 hours away, just north of Mexico City.
Charles went to a soccer game with a big group from work. He had a lot of fun. I just like the picture, he is so cute. They ended up on the news, they were all dressed alike. The group went to a taco place after. It was hard to find a place for all of them because everyone from the game had the same idea. Tacos are so good there, not anything like tacos in the states.
Isn't it so awesome. I loved seeing this. You can climb to the top which is totally cool. You can see how big the city use to be. The pyramid behind us is the Temple of the Sun. We went early in the morning so there were not many people there. It's a good climb at the end but the view is so worth it.
There are a series of stairs you climb up and down between the pyramids and the city. Through all of these is a tunnel. Josh had fun going through a lot of them. Marissa and Rachel could fit through this one with Josh.
This was taken from the Temple of the Moon looking at the Temple of the Sun. If you go straight on down the road you then come to the city. It is so big I wish I had a clear picture of that. You don't get a feel how big it is when your down in it but looking from the top of the Temple of the Sun you can see it all. So awesome, you will have to come see for yourself.
While on our spring break visit we walked around down town. There are many beautiful water fountains. This is of a lady playing a harp. Water comes out of the harp and look like the strings of the harp.
The streets go on forever with vendors of all sorts. There are painters, wood or stone carvings, jewelery, food, clothes, etc. It is so interesting to watch them make many different things. The girls loved shopping for necklaces and earrings. Josh loves a wood carved eagle he bought there.
We went to the zoo on Joshua's birthday. The monkeys were so active. They try to spit on you. We had one monkey that would fill his mouth with banana and spit. There was an older money that could spit farther than any man could.
This monkey just sat there enjoying his orange. We had been watching them for some time when he got up and walked to the other end of this fence and threw the peel, hitting josh right in the face. We told josh it was a birthday present from the monkey. We thought it was funny that the monkey had picked josh out of all of us to throw the peel at. It was interesting to watch them wrap themselves in the blankets.
These are the Ballard children. They are an awesome family living in Mexico around the corner from our house. They joined us at the zoo. We had so much fun looking at all the animals with them. We spent most of the trip with them and so enjoyed their company.
