This town is known as a ghost town. In the 1800's it had 80,000 people. It was a big and wealthy town. They mined all types of metals and rocks. In 1970 the last mine closed and only 12 people lived in the town. It now has 5,000 people in town.
Its amazing to see how big some of the mine owner's properties were. It would have been cool to see what they looked like back then.

You have such good looking kidos Julie. The pictures are so pretty, it almost makes you forget about Fred. Well, almost. I am still checking my shoes.
That sounds like a cool thing to do around Halloween time. The pictures look awsome and I think it would be cool to see it when it was full of people and again today. Thats just awsome. (Watch out for the poisonous creatures.) ;-)
